Attorney Jim Holt's Story
Jim Holt’s journey as a criminal defense attorney spans over three decades. He’s been at the forefront of defending individuals, particularly young people, caught in the criminal justice system. Through his work in juvenile and adult courts, he witnessed firsthand the struggles many faced, eventually inspiring his vision for change.
Jim's mission went beyond legal defense. He sought to understand the behaviors and circumstances driving young individuals into criminal activity. This led him to believe that real change could only happen by addressing the root causes of crime and offering more than just courtroom victories.
Jim envisions leaving behind a legacy of education, integrity, and empowerment. His focus is on providing individuals with the tools to build better futures, aiming to break the cycles of recidivism. Through programs like JAG, Jim hopes to guide people toward redemption and growth.
Jim believes that true transformation happens when legal defense is paired with life skills education. By offering moral grounding and practical tools for personal development, Jim works to alter life trajectories and provide individuals with the foundation needed for success.
In partnership with Rhonda Johnson, Jim helped create the JAG program. Together, they combined education and ethical guidance to empower at-risk youth and adults. Through JAG, they aim to offer a holistic approach to rehabilitation, focusing on both legal support and life skills.
Jim Holt’s work continues to inspire change. His legacy is one of compassion, integrity, and the belief that everyone deserves a second chance. Through initiatives like JAG, Jim has created a framework that helps individuals break free from cycles of crime and build better, more meaningful lives.

Rhonda Johnson Begins Internship
Rhonda joins the esteemed Holt Law Firm, working alongside Criminal Defense Attorney Jim Holt to learn about the criminal justice system and the cycle of recidivism.

Rhonda Becomes a JAG Educator
Rhonda begins teaching young students, using stories of redemption and personal growth to inspire them and raise awareness about breaking the criminal justice cycle.
Invitation from Local Judge
A local judge impressed by Rhonda’s approach invites her to develop a program that can further support at-risk youth and those prone to falling into criminal behavior.
